Job Responsibilities: Teach, Inspire, and Transform

As a Math Instructor/Tutor at Mathnasium, you'll have the opportunity to work with students from 1st to 12th grade, teaching and tutoring them in a face-to-face or online setting. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering individualized instruction using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices
• Assessing students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Collaborating with team members to create a supportive and productive learning environment
• Becoming proficient with digital educational materials and processes
• Maintaining a safe and professional learning environment that promotes student growth and success

Potential remote/online tutors must be available for two to four weeks of in-person training in Madison, WI, unless they have previous online Mathnasium tutoring experience. In-person tutors must reside in close proximity to our two Madison, WI Learning Centers.

Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for a candidate who is passionate about math, working with students, and making a difference in their community. The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex math concepts in a clear and concise manner
• Eagerness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method and teaching practices
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks and prioritize student needs
• A strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality instruction

MUST LIVE IN THE MADISON, WI AREA. All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a standard background check.

Work Schedule: Flexibility and Balance

We offer a flexible work schedule that allows you to balance your work and personal life. Our current school year hours of instruction are:

• Mondays through Thursdays: 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm CST
• Sundays: 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm CST

During the summer break (starting 6/12), our hours of instruction are:

• Mondays through Thursdays: 9:30 am to noon and 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm CST
• Fridays: 9:30 am to 1:00 pm CST
