Job Overview

We are looking for talented and dedicated tutors who can teach English Language Arts (ELA) and Math to Pre-K to 4th-grade students, including STAAR prep. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and skilled in teaching local curriculum, study skills, and other content relevant to these grade levels. Our tutors are expected to be flexible, reliable, and able to create personalized tutoring session plans that meet the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one in-home tutoring to Pre-K to 4th-grade students in ELA and Math, including STAAR prep
• Create personalized tutoring session plans that cater to each student's unique needs and learning style
• Travel to student locations in Friendswood and League City areas (up to 30 minutes)
• Utilize strong typing, PC, and recording skills to maintain accurate records and communicate with parents and teachers
• Collaborate with parents and teachers to ensure consistent and effective learning strategies
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and curriculum changes

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma preferred
• Teacher's certification preferred
• Understanding of local curriculum and TEKS
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in teaching and/or tutoring
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to student locations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
