What You'll Do
As a Senior Data Engineer at blithequark, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with source data application groups and product owners to design, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions that provide insights to inform business decisions
- Developing and implementing data migration and data engineering solutions using blithequark's technology stack, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Stream Analytics, and Azure Databricks
- Performing various aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, cloud architecture (infrastructure, security, and networking), ingestion, preparation, data visualization, testing, CI/CD pipelines, deployment, and execution tuning
- Providing technical leadership and collaboration within a team environment, as well as working independently
- Contributing to the development of a DevOps team that owns and supports their product
- Executing batch and streaming data pipelines using cloud-based technologies
- Driving the improvement of coding standards, best practices, and security and compliance rules
- Tutoring others on technical and domain skills to create multi-functional teams
All You'll Need for Success
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, and data analysis
- Strong understanding of data engineering, data science, and cloud-based technologies
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or D3.js
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C#
- Experience with data warehousing, data governance, and data security
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, and data analysis
- Strong understanding of data engineering, data science, and cloud-based technologies
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or D3.js
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C#

- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities
