As a pioneering Montessori institution, we pride ourselves on creating a supportive, inclusive environment where children aged 2.5 through Elementary can flourish. Our mission is to empower the next generation with the skills, confidence, and character necessary to succeed in an ever-evolving world.

The Role: ECE Floating Teacher - Daily 10 am to 2 pm

We're seeking a dedicated, versatile Early Childhood Education (ECE) professional to join our dynamic team as a part-time Floating Teacher. As a Floating Teacher at RMA, you'll be an integral part of our educational ecosystem, working closely with our staff to foster a nurturing, engaging atmosphere that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Contribution: Participate in the development and implementation of engaging summer camp activities, leveraging your creativity and expertise to enrich our programs.
  • Language Program Development: If you're a native Spanish speaker, you may have the opportunity to lead a Spanish language program, enhancing our curriculum and providing students with a valuable linguistic and cultural resource.
  • Maintaining Environments: Assist in maintaining the beautifully prepared environments that are a hallmark of Montessori education, ensuring that our classrooms remain welcoming, organized, and conducive to learning.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster positive, informative relationships with families and staff, collaborating on school policies, procedures, and events as needed.
  • Professional Development: Attend meetings and training sessions, staying abreast of best practices in ECE and Montessori education to continually enhance our programs.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

To excel as an ECE Floating Teacher at RMA, you'll need:

  • A Colorado Early Childhood Teacher or Assistant Teacher qualification, or a commitment to obtaining this within 6 months.
  • A schedule that allows for 15 credits of continuing education in ECE, demonstrating your dedication to ongoing professional development.
  • A deep understanding of and commitment to Montessori Pedagogical Guidelines, aligning your practice with our educational philosophy.
  • Flexibility, promptness, and a team-oriented mindset, with the ability to adapt to the varied needs of our classrooms.
  • A positive, forward-thinking attitude, coupled with a passion for creating a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
  • The ability to undergo early childhood background checks as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a Montessori setting or with a similar educational philosophy.
  • Native Spanish speaking skills, with the potential to lead a Spanish language program.
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation, particularly in a summer camp or similar context.

Career Growth and Learning Benefits:

At RMA, we're committed to the growth and development of our team members. As an ECE Floating Teacher, you'll have access to:

  • Online CDA courses, free for employees, with sponsorships available for completion.
  • Ongoing training opportunities, ensuring you stay at the forefront of ECE best practices.
  • Pathways for advancement within our organization, as we continue to grow and evolve.
  • A collaborative, supportive work environment that encourages professional development and lifelong learning.

Work Environment and Culture:

Our work environment is characterized by a culture of mutual respect, teamwork, and a shared passion for education. As a part of our team, you'll enjoy:

  • A fun, collaborative atmosphere with a small group of like-minded professionals.
  • A supportive administration that prioritizes a positive, inclusive mindset.
  • A great parent community that values and supports our educators.
