Key Responsibilities
As an Off-Site and Online English Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for:
- Teaching day, evening, weekend, and online classes at off-site locations, such as local-area high schools
- Facilitating learning through preparation and delivery of instruction
- Cooperating with College support staff in timely submission of materials and grades as required
- Coordinating activities with the Program Director or Coordinator
- Attending department meetings and participating in professional development related to classroom instruction and pedagogy
- Being available to students outside of class and assisting in maintaining program accreditation
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A Master's degree or higher in English or a related field
- Two (2) years of PreK-12 teaching experience
- Special competence and 2 years' experience in a relevant academic field
- Proficient computer skills and Microsoft applications knowledge
- Prior college teaching experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience teaching online or in a hybrid environment
- Familiarity with learning management systems and educational technology
- Experience working with diverse student populations
