About the Role: Certified English Tutor (Remote)
We're seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and passionate online English teachers to join our team as Certified English Tutors. As a Preply tutor, you'll be responsible for teaching English online to students of various ages and skill levels, helping them achieve their language learning goals and unlock new opportunities in their personal and professional lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English online to Preply students worldwide, on your own schedule and at your own price
- Create engaging lesson plans or use Preply's curriculum to tailor your teaching to students' needs
- Utilize Preply's integrated calendar to set your availability and schedule lessons with students
- Access training and professional development opportunities through Preply's Tutor Academy and regular webinars
- Provide comprehensive materials and resources to support students' learning and track their progress
- Be energetic, patient, responsible, and cheerful in your interactions with students, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficiency in English (native or near-native fluency)
- A University degree or Certificate to teach English (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, etc.), or equivalent qualification in English language teaching
- Experience teaching one-on-one classes with proven results, preferably online
- A high-speed internet connection and a suitable workspace for online teaching
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with online language learning platforms or teaching English as a foreign language
- Knowledge of curriculum design and development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
