Key Responsibilities:
As a Customs Trade Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Processing and verifying customs clearance documentation, including import and export records, certificates of origin, and commercial invoices
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, including tracking numbers, delivery dates, and any issues or discrepancies
- Collaborating with internal teams, including sales, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and coordination
- Processing organization financier shipments and handling distant filings as required
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including those related to customs clearance, trade compliance, and data security
- Performing other duties as assigned, including special projects and tasks related to customs clearance and trade compliance
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as international trade, logistics, or business administration
- At least 6 months of experience in a data entry or administrative role, preferably in a logistics or transportation company
- Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures, including import and export regulations, tariffs, and documentation requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle high volumes of work and meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
* HS Certificate or GED
- Industry experience in logistics, transportation, or international trade
- Familiarity with trade compliance software and systems, including customs clearance platforms and trade management systems
- Experience working with government agencies, including customs and border protection
- Strong knowledge of international trade laws and regulations, including those related to customs clearance, tariffs, and trade compliance
