About the Role

As a Contact Center Agent, you'll be responsible for addressing a wide range of inquiries related to insurance, applications, and claims across various product lines, including Medicare and Medicaid. Your expertise will help resolve customer issues, retain membership, and escalate complex problems that require further intervention. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, leveraging your excellent communication skills, technical knowledge, and problem-solving abilities to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact with providers and members via phone to provide information, address concerns, and answer questions about insurance coverage and products offered by blithequark.
  • Transfer calls to the appropriate department, ensuring seamless issue resolution.
  • Follow up on inquiries and complaints that haven't been resolved, demonstrating a customer-centric approach.
  • Perform research on billing inquiries and claims to facilitate payments and refunds.
  • Act as a liaison between various departments to address concerns and resolve issues.
  • Identify, research, and resolve customer issues using our computer system, showcasing your analytical skills.
  • Navigate through automated information systems to analyze the caller's situation and provide personalized support.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in a rapidly changing environment, adapting to new situations and priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, speaking clearly and concisely.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and various departments, ensuring seamless issue resolution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management team, such as sorting incoming faxes, correspondence, and fax transportation forms.
  • Work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to meet business demands.
  • Maintain minimum quality scores or better in a highly metric-driven environment.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous work experience in a face-to-face or call center environment.
  • Experience multitasking between programs and completing required data entry while interacting with customers.
  • Proficiency in using a corporate email system and navigating through system applications on a desktop computer or laptop.
  • The ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts due to business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly preferred:

  • Bilingual language proficiency in English and either Russian, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Spanish.
  • Healthcare industry work experience.
  • Call Center experience in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Previous healthcare work experience interacting with members and/or providers.

Compensation and Benefits

The hiring range for this position is:

  • $39,208 - $52,000 for Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents).
  • $34,091 - $49,920 for all other locations within approved states.

Your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses, and certifications, as well as other factors blithequark deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
