Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling incoming phone calls and providing exceptional service to our members. You will be the primary customer interface, informing and educating members about our products and services, and serving as their advocate. You will use established best practices, attend ongoing training, and utilize resources and tools to serve as the expert in navigating the challenging world of insurance.

Key Responsibilities

* Interfaces with customers via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web, and/or electronic mail

  • Researches customer information utilizing appropriate systems, policies, regulations, procedures, and other reference materials to effectively respond to and resolve customer issues
  • Elevates sensitive customer requests when necessary
  • Complies with State and Federal regulations and mandates, which are continually changing
  • Remains current on knowledge of diverse products and proactively recommends items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability

Requirements

* High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Three years of experience in a complaint-type customer service office setting (health insurance or related field preferred)
  • Availability for training 9-12 weeks in length
  • Reliable internet service provider and dedicated, distraction-free workspace

Preferred Qualifications

* Basic medical/dental terminology and contract interpretation

  • Experience working in a dynamic environment with changing regulations and policies

What We Offer

* Competitive salary: $39,520 annually

  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health benefits effective the 1st of the month following start date
  • Full-time position (40 hours per week)
  • Opportunity to work from home anywhere in the State of Nebraska or local Omaha metro area
  • 9-12 weeks of live virtual training: 8:00am - 4:30pm (Central Time Zone), Monday to Friday
