Experienced Remote Customer Service Representative – Insurance Policy Support

As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with policyholders, providers, and internal stakeholders to resolve inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Service Representative, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Handling high-volume inbound calls from policyholders, providers, and third parties, with an average of 70-120 calls per day
  • Providing exceptional service by ensuring all inquiries and issues are handled promptly and professionally through the use of multiple systems
  • Reviewing and maintaining new and revised procedures regarding policy information
  • Ensuring customer needs are met on every interaction, including phone, email, and written correspondence
  • Maintaining department standards for the number of calls, average handle time, and time management

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 1+ years of work experience in a high-volume contact center environment, with a strong background in customer service
  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong remote experience (although not required)
  • Reliable internet connection with a minimum upload and download speed of 20 Mbps, using a hard-wired connection
  • A smartphone to access VPN
  • Insurance industry experience is a plus, but not a requirement
  • A quiet and professional workspace
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Minimum typing requirement of 30 wpm
  • Proficient use of the computer, keyboard functions, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Excellent organization and time management skills

Training and Onboarding

As a new member of our team, you will undergo a comprehensive 2-3 week training program, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm CST. During this time, you will learn about our systems, policies, and procedures, as well as develop the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in this role.

Schedule and Availability

We require candidates to have open availability Monday-Friday between 7:30 am and 6:30 pm CST. After training, you will be assigned to a 40-hour workweek, with a Monday-Friday schedule. No weekend shifts are required, unless overtime is presented on the weekend.

Equipment and Resources

As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you will need a smartphone to access VPN. All other equipment will be provided by blithequark.
