Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our after hours team, working remotely from South Africa. This is a unique opportunity to work in a flexible and dynamic environment, where you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our clients and their caregivers. As a key member of our team, you will be expected to deliver high-quality service, resolve client queries, and provide timely responses to queries that come in through our texting platform.

Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative with blithequark, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Answering all incoming calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Resolving client and nurse queries that are within the scope of after-hours support
  • Providing timely responses to queries that come in through our texting platform
  • Notifying clients and replacing caregiver callouts as necessary
  • Confirming caregivers 1-2 hours before shift start
  • Performing initial intake for callers potentially interested in our services
  • Documenting all scenarios on our platform, as well as updating caregiver schedules as needed
  • Completing non-urgent admin projects if time allows

Requirements

  • Fluent in English: You must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Compassionate and confident: You will need to be empathetic and understanding, with a confident and professional demeanor.
  • Responsible and reliable: You must be able to work independently and reliably, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • 10+ years' work experience in customer service + office duties: You will need to have a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service, with a strong understanding of office duties and procedures.
  • Adaptable and flexible regarding work hours: You must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Impeccable phone and computer skills: You will need to have excellent phone and computer skills, with the ability to navigate our platform and software.
  • Staffing and/or health care experience: You will need to have experience working in staffing or healthcare, with a strong understanding of the industry and its challenges.
  • Experience working remotely and independently to the USA: You must be able to work independently and remotely, with a strong understanding of the USA time zone and its requirements.
  • Quiet and professional work-from-home environment: You will need to have a quiet and professional work-from-home environment, with a reliable internet connection and a backup plan for load-shedding.

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 10+ years' experience in customer service and office duties
  • Experience working in staffing and/or healthcare
  • Experience working remotely and independently to the USA
  • Impeccable phone and computer skills
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. business, communications, healthcare)

  • Experience working in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
  • Strong understanding of the Elderly Home Based Care industry and its challenges
  • Experience working with a similar platform and software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
