As a Clinical Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission by providing top-notch service to our members, responding to their inquiries, and offering guidance on all aspects of their association with blithequark.

Job Overview

We are looking for full-time and part-time regular employees, as well as seasonal workers and temporary employees, to fill this remote position. As a remote worker, you will be trained remotely and will be required to work from home in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment. You must have a stable connection to your Internet Service Provider, with the ability to participate in online meetings over a reliable and consistent network (minimum internet download of 50 Mbps and 10 Mbps upload speed).

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls in a professional, accurate, timely, and courteous manner, ensuring that all members receive exceptional service.
  • Ascertain the nature of the call and record information in the Communication Log, maintaining accurate and detailed records of all interactions.
  • Look up member information using proprietary blithequark systems and provide information to the caller, demonstrating a thorough understanding of our programs and services.
  • Forward logs requiring further research to the appropriate department, ensuring that all issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
  • Transfer callers to the appropriate queue if the question is of a more complex issue (claims, authorizations, etc.), demonstrating a strong understanding of our internal processes and procedures.
  • Utilize appropriate resources, including those online, to provide timely responses to member inquiries, staying up-to-date with the latest information and developments in the healthcare industry.
  • Manage time to ensure calls are answered within required timeframes and appropriate follow-up is done in a timely manner, meeting or exceeding minimum key job accountabilities established for the Customer Service Representative position.
  • Document all calls appropriately, maintaining accurate and detailed records of all interactions.
  • Attend weekly staff and other meetings to discuss issues and foster teamwork among department personnel, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Respond to requests for internal and external customers and/or clients, as required, demonstrating a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service to all stakeholders.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and a commitment to lifelong learning.
  • A minimum of one year of experience performing customer service duties, with inbound call center experience preferred, demonstrating a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications, demonstrating a strong ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with members, demonstrating a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including:

  • Starting pay at $15/hour, with potential for $16/hour within the first year, plus merit-based increases.
