Role Description
Mercor is recruiting Senior Software Engineers with “Rust” expertise based in the U.S. and Europe for research projects with leading AI labs.
- Involve a variety of common programming tasks, including debugging, refactoring, and writing test cases for complex code repositories.
- You will interface with prominent AI researchers from top labs.
- The work is fully asynchronous and can be done around your schedule.
- Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week, with the possibility to work up to 40 hours per week, depending on the quality of work.
- Successful contributions increase the odds that you will be selected for future projects with Mercor.
Qualifications
- Deep expertise in Rust and concurrent programming.
- 3+ years of experience in production-grade backend systems.
- Significant contributions to open-source Rust projects.
Requirements
- We can meet industry-standard compensation expectations for your current role.
- Payment will be made at the end of each week via Stripe Connect based on the number of hours logged.
- You will be classified as an “at-will” contractor to Mercor.
- We cannot currently support H1-B or STEM OPT status candidates.
- The advertised pay range is for U.S.-based applicants; the pay range will vary depending on geographic location, but we aim to keep compensation competitive for all areas.
