Experienced Full Stack Customer Sales Executive – Amazon Protein Business Development

Our Amazon Protein business is a key growth area, and we're seeking a talented Customer Sales Executive to join our team. As a remote-based role, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere, while still being part of a dynamic and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Sales Executive, you'll be responsible for:
- Developing strategic roadmaps and presenting recommendations to senior management, both internally and externally, to drive our Digital Commerce vision
- Collaborating with brand, supply chain, operations, and IS managers to ensure successful integration and leverage of campaigns, media, packtype, seasons, and new product programs
- Coordinating, executing, and leading activities with virtually every function in the company to achieve pre-set goals, including portfolio management, innovation, and capability building
- Leading and directing the activities of outside suppliers, including content and ad agencies
- Developing short, mid, and long-term growth strategies to develop the Hershey-account(s) partnership and seeking alignment from all relevant areas within the organization
- Working closely with Protein leadership to align sales forecasts and ensure the business has the right level of brand and marketing support
- Travelling to customers and supporting conversations/negotiations with buying teams, guiding and participating in discussions for JBP and long-term strategic growth
- Educating the organization on the strategic importance of eCommerce and trends/developments within this rapidly evolving channel
- Using available data and insights to provide sound merchandising/marketing/promotional/product optimization recommendations (prescriptive selling)
- Owning the planning and execution of merchandising/marketing/promotional/content plans, crafted in close collaboration with brand/season, digital, shopper marketing, and sales teams
- Co-owning relationships with content development/creative agencies, ensuring creative content is optimized, impactful, and compliant with brand messaging
- Establishing business reporting/KPIs to ensure progress against objectives and communicating back to the organization
- Operational evangelist for assigned account(s), coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure catalog accuracy, in-stock/forecasting reliability, new product set up, and sales planning
- Collaborating with IS, Digital Marketing, Insights, and Shopper Marketing teams to leverage insights and digital expertise to execute current year plans and build capabilities to advise and evolve customer relationships
- Owning the eCommerce P&L for assigned portfolio, currently Amazon.com, 3P, Prime Pantry, Amazon Fresh/Prime Now, Amazon Business, Amazon Go, Amazon Grocery, Fresh Pick Up, and Whole Foods
Minimum Qualifications
* Previous sales experience with direct management of a customer/retailer relationship, Amazon experience preferred but open to translatable experience
- Demonstrated P&L management with strong business judgment and decision-making skills, ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate high-impact initiatives
- Experience directly managing customers, including strengths in advising and negotiating
- Strong ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
- Excellent management skills, with the ability to delegate and manage multiple priorities while generating positive relationships
- Proven leadership skills
- Strong knowledge and experience managing Digital customers, media, and creative development, SEO, and eCommerce merchandising preferred but open to translatable experience
- Proven ability to translate insights into sound merchandising/marketing/promotional/product optimization recommendations (prescriptive selling)
- Superb communication skills, including strong oral and presentation skills with the ability to communicate and interact at all levels
- Aptitude for problem-solving/quick learning
- Positive attitude and high level of energy
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly in the Amazon Protein market
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, customer relationship management, and general management principles
- Proven track record of driving sales, share, and profit results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience working with outside suppliers, including content and ad agencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Experience with business reporting/KPIs and ability to communicate progress against objectives
