As a Remote Call Center Agent, you'll serve as the primary contact for individuals inquiring about federal assistance, addressing their questions, and guiding them towards appropriate relief programs. Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Act as the primary contact for individuals inquiring about federal assistance, addressing their questions, and guiding them towards appropriate relief programs.
  • Call Handling: Handle calls with patience and professionalism, assessing customer needs and providing clear guidance or referrals.
  • Data Entry: Meticulously enter data into a Windows-based database while adhering to a structured interview process.
  • Support and Referrals: Provide relevant phone numbers and agency referrals to customers seeking further support.
  • Additional Tasks: Undertake additional tasks based on the varying support needs for specific events.
  • Shift Meetings: Participate in scheduled shift meetings to stay updated on event-specific information prior to your shift.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Demonstrate outstanding communication and customer service skills, showcasing professionalism in reading, writing, and verbally communicating in English.
  • Technical Skills: Maintain a solid understanding of personal computers and operate effectively within a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Data Entry and Customer Interactions: Complete all data entry tasks while assisting disaster survivors over the phone.
  • Private Customer Interactions: Ensure all customer interactions are conducted in a private setting, avoiding the use of cell phones or public spaces during calls.
  • Technical Requirements: Maintain a high-speed internet connection, ensuring a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps (50 Mbps for shared connections) and an upload speed of at least 5 Mbps (10 Mbps preferred).

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Exceptional Communication and Customer Service Abilities: Demonstrated experience in providing top-notch customer service and support.
  • Fluency in English: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient understanding of personal computers in a Microsoft Windows environment.
