Job Summary
As an Experienced Full Stack Software Engineer – Web & Cloud Application Development at blithequark, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and making key decisions that impact cross-functional partners. Your role will remain technically hands-on, involving close work with code, technical details, and data. You will contribute to architectural planning, code reviews, and risk assessments, and collaborate with various teams across software, services, and AI/ML. You will also engage with external customers and help define requirements and objectives for cross-functional software projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers and make key decisions that impact cross-functional partners - Remain technically hands-on, involving close work with code, technical details, and data - Contribute to architectural planning, code reviews, and risk assessments - Collaborate with various teams across software, services, and AI/ML - Engage with external customers and help define requirements and objectives for cross-functional software projects - Create a multi-year roadmap and lead the design and execution phases of software development - Oversee the work of some of the brightest engineers in the industry
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong understanding of operating systems fundamentals and mobile device support constraints - Proven ability to drive complex, cross-functional projects, managing partnerships while staying hands-on technically - Clear decision-making based on data rather than intuition - Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions - Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, global team, fostering collaboration, and supporting your engineers
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of engineering management experience - Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent - Experience with API development and working with API consumers
Skills and Competencies
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++ - Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions - Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS and Azure - Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git - Strong understanding of software development life cycles and methodologies
