Job Summary

We are urgently hiring an Experienced Virtual Medical Scribe to join our team of remote clinical documentation specialists. As a Virtual Medical Scribe, you will work from the comfort of your own home, partnering with medical providers to document patient visits in real-time. This is a fully remote role, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere. We are prepared to offer a competitive salary to attract a top-tier candidate for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document physician-patient encounters by actively listening to live conversations between physicians and patients.
  • Communicate and verify patient information with physicians.
  • Utilize EHR/EMR programs like Epic, Athena, Cerner, etc.
  • Reduce physician burnout and turnover by improving accuracy of clinical documentation.
  • Allow physicians to focus more on their patients by taking on the responsibility of clinical documentation.

Requirements

To be successful as a Virtual Medical Scribe, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

Essential Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of medical terms through recent clinical experience as a medical assistant, medical transcriptionist, etc., or college-level courses in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Strong computer and typing skills, with a typing test required.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to hear and understand all information provided by patient or healthcare provider in a remote environment and transcribe into clear written records.
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to understand diverse accents and dialects of physicians, their staff, and patients.
  • Bilingual scribes needed (Spanish). (Not required.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with EHR/EMR programs like Epic, Athena, Cerner, etc.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Experience working in a clinical setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
