Key Responsibilities
As a Virtual Special Needs Educator, you'll play a critical role in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of our students. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing IEPs for online learning, ensuring that each student receives a tailored education that meets their academic, social, and emotional needs
- Collaborating virtually with general education teachers to ensure inclusive practices and seamless transitions between online and offline learning environments
- Conducting online assessments and adapting digital teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of our students
- Communicating effectively with parents, staff, and administrators via video conferencing and other digital tools, ensuring that everyone is informed and engaged in the learning process
- Maintaining accurate digital records and documentation, ensuring that our students' progress is tracked and reported in a timely and efficient manner
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a strong foundation in special education, as well as excellent digital literacy and communication skills. Here are the essential qualifications we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid New Hampshire teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Experience in online or distance learning environments, with a proven track record of adapting to new technologies and platforms
- Strong digital literacy and comfort with educational technology platforms, including learning management systems, video conferencing tools, and online assessment software
- Excellent virtual communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, managing your time and priorities effectively in a remote work environment

Preferred Qualifications
