Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer III to join our Walmart eCommerce Marketplace Strategy and Analytics team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex data pipelines that drive business insights and decision-making. You'll work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to solve complex problems and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex data pipelines using Big Data Platforms like Spark, Hadoop, and BigQuery
• Create real-time data streaming and processing using Kafka and/or Spark streaming
• Develop data pipelines with Apache Airflow and optimize queries for large data sets
• Partner with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to solve complex business problems
• Develop and maintain data governance processes and documentation
• Contribute to the development of business cases and recommendations
• Support the implementation of data governance practices
• Develop and maintain data models, including conceptual, physical, and logical data models
• Write code to develop required solutions and application features
• Test and deploy software to production servers

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• At least 3+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics using Big Data Platforms like Spark, Hadoop, and BigQuery
• Strong programming skills in SQL, Java, Python, and Scala
• Experience with Apache Airflow and distributed SQL query engines like Presto
• Experience with public cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience with relational database platforms like SQL Server, MySQL, Informix, and Oracle
