Job Overview and Responsibilities

As a Virtual Customer Service Representative, you will be the voice of Wayfair, working to build relationships with clients who reach out to us via inbound calls, chats, and emails. Your primary goal will be to provide a top-tier experience, addressing customer concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling a high volume of customer interactions, approximately 50-60 calls per shift, in a fast-paced and highly organized environment
  • Exhibiting dependability, participation, and a commitment to being available and on time for your full shift every day
  • Meeting our superior performance bar by exceeding customer satisfaction targets and achieving client care proficiency metrics
  • Professionally connecting with clients, listening effectively, and showing compassion to understand their concerns and provide personalized solutions
  • De-escalating customer concerns, utilizing peace-making skills to balance the needs of the client with the options available from the business
  • Issue-tackling, thinking systematically to resolve customer issues in a first-contact resolution approach, without relying on pre-populated scripts
  • Being educated and able to multitask, navigating multiple programs, tabs, tools, and separate orders to quickly and effectively answer questions
  • Identifying areas for improvement and offering suggestions to leadership to enhance the customer experience

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Hold a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Be able to read, write, and understand Spanish and English
  • Have knowledge of working within Windows Operating Systems or equivalent
  • Be available to attend our 100% mandatory training program, with no exceptions for misses, downtime, or lateness

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a virtual or remote environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple customer interactions simultaneously
  • Basic computer skills, including navigation of multiple programs and tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
