Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative with blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Handling incoming contacts from guests via voice, email, and chat channels
  • Processing reservation requests and supporting basic loyalty and customer care needs
  • Identifying guest reservation needs and following sales techniques to maximize revenue
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures for special booking rules and requests, loyalty guidelines, and case management
  • Providing customer support through assistance and guidance in issue resolution, and open communication with Marriott properties, related company contacts, and third parties
  • Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, protecting company assets, and protecting the privacy and security of guests and coworkers
  • Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guests' service needs, and thanking guests with genuine appreciation
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, supporting team goals, and listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of other employees

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • No related work experience is required, but a passion for customer service and a willingness to learn and grow is essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • A strong internet connection with a minimum of 3 Mbps download speed and 1 Mbps upload speed
  • A dedicated workspace with a physical cable plug-in (ethernet) connection
  • The ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous customer service experience in a call center or hospitality environment
  • Familiarity with sales techniques and revenue maximization strategies
  • Experience working with loyalty programs and customer care initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
