Job Description
As a Virtual Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of students with special needs. You will work from the comfort of your own home, delivering engaging and personalized virtual instruction that caters to the unique needs of each student. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitoring student progress.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, individualized virtual instruction to students with special needs, utilizing digital tools and resources to enhance learning experiences and track student progress.
- Develop and implement IEPs that cater to the diverse needs of each student, ensuring that they receive the support and resources necessary to thrive academically and personally.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educational professionals to support student growth and success, fostering a sense of community and partnership.
- Utilize virtual teaching platforms and educational technology to create engaging and interactive learning experiences that cater to different learning styles.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, communicating regularly with parents and guardians to ensure that they are informed and involved in their child's educational journey.
- Participate in virtual team meetings and professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date with best practices and innovative approaches in special education.
Qualifications
* Master's degree in special education or a related field, with a strong emphasis on instructional design and delivery.
- Valid Special Education teaching certification in Delaware, with a proven track record of success in special education.
- Proven experience in special education, preferably in a virtual or online setting, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities presented by online learning.
- Strong proficiency with virtual teaching platforms and educational technology, including learning management systems, online collaboration tools, and digital assessment platforms.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
