Job Summary

As a Hotel Room Attendant, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including cleaning guest rooms, changing and replenishing bed linens and towels, performing deep cleaning tasks, and maintaining housekeeping supply carts.

Responsibilities

As a Hotel Room Attendant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning guest rooms as assigned, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, and vacuuming
  • Changing and replenishing bed linens, towels, and guest amenities as needed
  • Performing deep cleaning tasks as needed, including cleaning refrigerators, microwaves, and other appliances
  • Stocking, maintaining, and transporting housekeeping supply carts on a daily basis
  • Disposing of trash and recyclables in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner
  • Addressing guest requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including the housekeeping supply cart and guest rooms

Qualifications

To be successful as a Hotel Room Attendant, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional education or training in a relevant field, such as hospitality or customer service
  • English literacy and communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Familiarity with routine operations in guest floor housekeeping, including cleaning procedures and guest amenities
  • Flexibility with work schedules, including the ability to work morning, evening, weekend, or public holiday shifts
  • Proficient knowledge of chemical handling and implementing cleanliness measures in rooms
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, including cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
