The Role

As an Art Teacher at Matchbook Learning, you'll be a key member of our team, responsible for providing targeted small-group instruction, leading whole group discussions, coaching students as they work with individualized online learning tools, and collaborating with peers to ensure high levels of student achievement. You'll work closely with our technology platforms to provide personalized learning experiences for our students.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide high-quality art instruction to students in a remote setting

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Use technology platforms to provide personalized learning experiences for students
• Collaborate with peers to ensure high levels of student achievement
• Analyze student data to improve achievement and inform instruction
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment

Essential Qualifications

* Minimum of two years of teaching experience in an urban or low-income setting

• State Standard teaching certification or equivalent out-of-state certificate (endorsed in Visual Arts)
• Demonstrated record of success in the classroom, with accountability for student products
• Ability to analyze student data to improve achievement
• Flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Coachable spirit and willingness to learn and grow

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with technology platforms to provide personalized learning experiences

• Familiarity with blended learning models and online learning tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
