Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Elementary K-5 Music Teacher to join our team. As a music teacher, you will be responsible for teaching music to students in grades K-5, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and assessing student progress. You will also be responsible for collaborating with other teachers and staff members to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive educational experience for our students.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach music to students in grades K-5, including vocal and instrumental music
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive educational experience for our students
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in music education
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in music education or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with proper endorsement
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching music to elementary students
- Strong knowledge of music theory and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in music education or a related field
- Experience teaching music to students with diverse learning needs
- Strong background in music technology and digital music tools
- Familiarity with curriculum design and implementation
