Social Media Assistant / Designer / Community Manager (Part-Time) | Remote | 6 month contract

From estheticians to beverage founders to soulful product-based entrepreneurs, every brand we touch drips with personality, strategy, and serious ROI. Now I’m looking for my creative right hand — a Social Media Assistant / Designer / Community Manager who can help me manage the magic behind the scenes. What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage 2 social media accounts (Instagram + Facebook)
- Handle community engagement — connect with followers, respond to comments, and nurture real conversations
- Conduct industry research, competitor analysis, and social strategy planning to help our clients stand out online
- Write captions that sound human, fun, and strategic (no robotic marketing speak here)
- Schedule content using Planable
- Track engagement + performance monthly
- Write and send 2 blogs + 2 emails per month (for Visual Sugar Creative and one client account)
- Occasionally help with backup design projects (think t-shirt designs, business cards, or menus — just in case)
- Work directly with the founder (hey, that’s me ) and get a front-row seat to how soulful, strategy-led brands are built
You’d Be Perfect If You…
- Have 1–3 years of social media or digital marketing experience
- Are obsessed with design, strategy, and storytelling
- Have a solid eye for aesthetics (Canva or Adobe experience a plus)
- Love writing in different brand voices — from cheeky to soulful
- Are organized AF and thrive on bringing creative ideas to life
- Believe that branding is more than pretty — it’s powerful
- Want to grow with a studio that’s making serious moves
Pay & Phases Phase 1 — $500/month Focus on community management for the Visual Sugar Creative social accounts — responding to DMs and comments, engaging with followers, and writing/sending 2 blogs + 2 emails per month (for Visual Sugar Creative and one client account). Phase 2 — $1,000/month Once we’ve found our groove, your role expands to include 2 of my client social accounts — managing strategy, captions, scheduling, and community engagement for each.
- About 10–15 hours per week
- Fully remote + flexible schedule (a little CST overlap is great)
- Opportunity for long-term growth as the studio adds new clients + projects
Legal Disclaimer This position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor role. Contractor is responsible for their own taxes, equipment, and workspace.
