Responsibilities
As a Math Instructor / Tutor at Mathnasium, you will be responsible for:
- Providing personalized math instruction to students of all ages
- Building students' confidence and competence in math
- Developing and implementing lesson plans that meet the needs of individual students
- Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Participating in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in math education
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong foundation in mathematics, including algebra, geometry, and calculus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with students of all ages and skill levels
- Familiarity with math education software and technology
- Bilingual or multilingual skills (a plus)
- Experience working in a learning center or tutoring environment
