Key Responsibilities and Job Duties

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

• Performing skilled maintenance and repairs services of facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, and building systems
• Troubleshooting equipment problems and providing immediate preventative and corrective maintenance support to production lines and facilitating change-over
• Overhauling and installing new equipment, rebuilding and fabricating parts, and performing facility maintenance
• Generating parts requests to ensure adequate inventory and completing work orders as assigned
• Performing equipment change-overs and production line set-ups
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area, adhering to manufacturer's specifications and schematics, and following all safety protocols
• Actively participating as a self-directed and committed member of a team, working with other team members to achieve department and plant goals and objectives
• Troubleshooting or performing necessary repairs to maintain the operation of equipment and systems in areas of responsibility
• Installing machinery and equipment as required, developing PM/REPAIR tasks, and entering them into the SAP-PM database
• Performing preventative maintenance on production machinery and facilities according to PM schedules, auditing plant equipment, and participating in the process of ordering, inventory, and stocking of spare parts
• Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment, adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, or requirements
• Assisting in training and coaching other associates and performing related duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• To pass the Ramsey Test for Maintenance Mechanic
• 1-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems
• Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience, with a proven track record of delivering results
• Previous experience within high-speed industrial environments, with a strong understanding of PLC systems
• Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude, with basic computer skills and the ability to follow manufacturer's specifications and schematics
• Vocational certification and/or Blow Molding experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

• 1+ years of mechanical/electrical experience
• Prior experience within a high-speed industrial environment
• Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge
• Experience with SAP-PM database and Maximo system
