Key Responsibilities

As a part-time/flexible family lawyer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert legal advice and representation in family law matters, including divorce proceedings, child custody disputes, and property settlements
  • Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favourable outcomes
  • Drafting legal documents such as petitions, motions, and agreements with precision and attention to detail
  • Attending court hearings and representing clients in front of judges and magistrates
  • Conducting thorough research on relevant laws and case precedents to support client cases
  • Maintaining clear communication with clients, keeping them informed about the progress of their cases
  • Collaborating with other professionals, such as social workers or financial advisors, when necessary to provide comprehensive support to clients
  • Upholding the highest ethical standards while managing sensitive client information with confidentiality

Essential Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor or barrister with a valid practising certificate in family law
