Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Medical Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include:
- Answering incoming calls professionally, accurately, timely, and courteously
- Determining the nature of calls and logging information in the Communication Log
- Accessing member information using proprietary systems to assist callers
- Forwarding inquiries requiring further research to the appropriate department
- Transferring calls to specialized queues for complex issues (e.g., claims, authorizations)
- Utilizing available resources to provide timely responses
- Managing time effectively to ensure calls are answered promptly, and follow-ups are completed in a timely manner
- Meeting or exceeding minimum key job accountabilities for the Customer Service Representative role
- Documenting all calls appropriately
- Attending weekly staff meetings to discuss issues and promote teamwork
- Responding to requests from internal and external customers as needed
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of one year of customer service experience; inbound call center experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Strong verbal communication skills

Schedule and Availability
