Experienced Full Stack Data Analyst – Transportation Analytics at blithequark

Job Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst at blithequark, you will be responsible for:

• Working with large, messy, disparate datasets and performing ad-hoc analyses to inform business decisions
• Creating ETLs or scripts that pull data from multiple sources and centralize it in a single table
• Developing data visualizations to display and quantify the impact of changes and business challenges
• Engaging with team members and cross-functional groups on a regular basis to establish credibility and build relationships
• Analyzing stakeholder needs and working with them to share relevant information, including partnering with Operations, Finance, and Product groups on data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems
• Leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks for reporting (screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier recognition)
• Documenting your approaches and sharing your expertise with colleagues, as well as mentoring them as you become a Subject Matter Expert

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering)

• Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to govern data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity (2-4 years of experience)
• Creativity with a user experience basis to develop impactful Tableau dashboards (1-2 years of experience)
• Business operations fluency, with the ability to recognize and root out business problems (supply chain background with transportation experience a plus)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

* Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau

• Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages
• Experience with data manipulation tools, including Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc.
