Key Responsibilities:

As a Part-Time Data Entry Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Entering alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into our computer databases using online computer terminals or personal computers.
  • Keying and verifying results according to established procedures.
  • Recognizing and correcting errors in original data prior to processing.
  • Identifying deficiencies in source documents and returning them to the originator for correction.
  • Maintaining customer and staff databases.
  • Performing clerical duties for our office administrator.
  • Maintaining computerized departmental records.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Some experience in data entry, preferably in a similar industry or field.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient typing, keyboarding, and file maintenance skills.
  • Ability to use personal computers and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and perform word processing tasks.
  • Familiarity with Management Information System (MIS) software.
  • Ability to meet established deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

  • Previous experience working with databases and data management systems.
  • Knowledge of data entry software and tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based applications and platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
