Job Summary

As a Senior Data Engineer at blithequark, you'll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring that our systems are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and implement data architectures, data warehouses, and data lakes to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives

• Develop and maintain data pipelines, data integration, and data transformation processes to ensure data quality and integrity
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions
• Design and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories to support data discovery and data reuse
• Participate in data architecture reviews and provide input on data strategy and roadmap
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and architecture, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related field
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance principles
• Experience with data integration, data transformation, and data quality processes
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
