About the Global Merchant & Network Services (GM&NS) Pricing Group

The GM&NS Pricing Group is a dynamic team responsible for driving revenue growth through customer-centric pricing principles, flexible pricing architectures, and innovative pricing solutions. We work closely with various business partners to determine the best rates that encourage merchants to accept American Express while improving service and merchant satisfaction. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in shaping our pricing strategies and driving revenue growth.

Job Responsibilities

As a Financial Analyst in our Canadian Financial Planning and Analysis team, you will be responsible for:

• Creating Canadian forecasts for businesses reducing revenue, tracking monthly performance against forecast, and identifying areas of change. You will also create a list of discounted business income for the Canadian region.
• Driving the design and development process across multiple regional cost groups for all relevant reporting and forecasting activities.
• Supporting external audits, including investigation of issues discovered, communicating with local value team managing vendor relationships to discuss issues and work to resolve them.
• Performing ad-hoc data analysis to measure discount rates and gain insights.

Key Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• At least two years of experience in financial assistance or business payment and/or other finance roles.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create best-in-class financial models and maximize value from large amounts of financial information.
• Strong programming skills, with knowledge of languages such as SAS/SQL.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others, influencing and managing relationships to drive results.
• Strong project management skills, with full ownership from analysis to implementation.
• A customer-focused mindset, with a willingness to understand and resolve customer needs and problems.
• Ability to remain calm and flexible under pressure.
