About the Data Engineering Team

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines that support our business operations. You will work closely with our data scientists, analysts, and engineers to ensure that our data is accurate, reliable, and easily accessible.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines using technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS
* Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to ensure that our data is accurate, reliable, and easily accessible
* Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python, SQL, and other technologies
* Create and maintain data sets, tables, and views using data modeling and database design principles
* Deliver datasets as input to science models and visualizations
* Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that our data is integrated with other systems and applications
* Develop and maintain automated workflows and schedulers using technologies such as Docker and GitLab
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Strong knowledge of Python and SQL, with experience using Snowflake and PostgreSQL
* Experience working with cloud-based technologies such as AWS and Azure
* Experience using source control systems such as GitLab and GitHub
* Experience using Docker and containerization
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
* Experience using data modeling and database design principles
* Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
* Experience using machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies
* Experience working with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
