About the Role

As our first Customer Support Representative, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our customer support team and contributing to the overall success of blithequark. You will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our customers, resolving their queries and issues, and ensuring that they have an exceptional experience with our app. This is a unique opportunity to join a small startup and make a significant impact, with the potential to try your hand at various aspects of the business and carve out your own role in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers via live chat or email to resolve their problems and provide timely support
  • Continuously learn about the features of our app and the broader Shopify ecosystem to provide expert guidance and support to our customers
  • Summarize product feedback from merchants and suggest new ways of product improvement to our development team
  • Perform non-CS related tasks, such as researching tools, writing blog posts, or creating mockups, based on your natural abilities and interests
  • Collaborate with the team to build a system and processes for future CS team members, helping to establish a robust and efficient support infrastructure

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess superb written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts at a high level. You should enjoy talking to people, be patient, and have a passion for solving problems. Additionally, you should be:

  • Able to handle difficult customers (although we have very few of those)
  • Proficient in discussing technical concepts at a high level
  • Comfortable working with basic CSS and JS, with a willingness to learn more if needed
  • Able to write technical documentation and articles
  • Willing to perform non-CS related tasks and wear multiple hats in a small startup environment
  • Able to have at least a 4-hour overlap with our team's working hours (GMT+7 9am-6pm)

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following skills and experiences would be highly beneficial:

  • Experience working with Shopify, particularly in theme development or customization
  • Experience working with B2B SaaS companies
  • Proficiency in additional languages, such as French, Spanish, or Italian
  • Any other skills that can be beneficial to a startup, such as marketing, SEO, video editing, etc.
