Key Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Product Design Engineer at blithequark, you'll be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Modern Plan, Tasks, and cross-functional design groups, to conceptualize and develop innovative product ideas
  • Creating, modeling, assessing, and investigating new designs to meet the needs of our clients
  • Leading design reviews and contributing to peer design reviews to ensure the highest quality of our products
  • Presenting your work to cross-functional teams and leaders to drive design decisions and approvals
  • Producing detailed specifications and drawings to bring your designs to life
  • Communicating with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to enhance designs for manufacturability, aesthetics, and performance
  • Directing failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs) to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Approving and describing designs through various iterations
  • Developing deep technical expertise by taking designs from concept to production
  • Ensuring that designs meet corrective and functional requirements to deliver top-tier products to our clients

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Designing or a related field

  • Strong foundation in design principles and high personal motivation
  • Design insight: exact mechanical intuition, imaginative critical thinking, curious nature, and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills: written, visual, and verbal communication to clearly convey design ideas and collaborate with teams
  • Experience creating parts and assemblies in 3D CAD
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and other relevant design methodologies
  • Working knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
  • Adaptability and comfort working in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Ability to travel globally (up to 20%)

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Mechanical Designing or a related field

  • Experience in product design for the home and music industries
  • Familiarity with design software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or CATIA
  • Knowledge of 3D printing and rapid prototyping techniques
  • Experience with design for sustainability and environmental impact
