Job Summary

As a Lead Data Scientist in our Ads Data Solutions Research team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and enhancing data models that drive business growth and inform strategic decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales Analytics, Finance, Business Operations, Commerce Product, and Engineering, to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that tackle complex challenges. Your expertise will be critical in helping us to optimize our marketing and advertising efforts, improve customer engagement, and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, build, and enhance data models to drive business growth and inform strategic decisions

• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and deploy data-driven solutions
• Drive experimentation to test the impact of data-driven solutions on business outcomes
• Develop deep insights into audience, brand, and ad operational data systems and metrics
• Visualize complex data units to communicate insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify and develop opportunities for growth and improvement
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data science and machine learning

Essential Qualifications

* Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Statistics)

• 7+ years of experience designing, building, and comparing realistic systems knowledge solutions
• 7+ years of experience with statistical programming languages (e.g. Python, Spark, PySpark) and database languages (e.g. SQL)
• Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical

Nice-to-Haves

* Doctorate's degree in a quantitative field

• Strong knowledge of Python and libraries such as sci-kit-learn, SciPy
• Familiarity with Bayesian modeling and probabilistic programming applications such as PyMC
• Familiarity with data structures and programs such as Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Airflow, Github
• Familiarity with data exploration and visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker
• Demonstrated experience in designing and reading A/B testing and other test types
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment with shifting priorities
• Strong leadership skills, including people and project management
