Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cigna Healthcare is a rapidly evolving company focused on healthcare solutions. They are seeking a Provider Contracting Lead Analyst to use negotiation skills to manage complex provider contracts and ensure compliance with contracting guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, review, and project financial impact of larger or complex provider contracts and alternate contract terms.
- Conduct negotiations and draft individual contracts while ensuring the smooth operation and administration of provider agreements.
- Track the financial performance of contracts and ensure compliance with contracting guidelines.
- Exercise judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of both standard and complex techniques and procedures.
- Exercise in-depth professional knowledge to develop models and procedures, and monitor trends, within Provider Contracting.
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of experience with provider contracting required
- Strong working knowledge of various reimbursement methodologies and terminology required
- Strong negotiation skills and proficiency of contract language review required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; presentation skills required
- Quarterly Travel required for client visits
- Strong knowledge and experience with Advanced Microsoft Word, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to make recommendations on various issues to senior management related to contract negotiations preferred
- Team oriented to ensure departmental goals and objectives are met preferred
- Ability to work independently preferred
- Ability to develop and maintain effective, collaborative relationships with both internal and external customers preferred
