Position Overview and Key Responsibilities

As a Co-op, Airport Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and contributing to the overall success of our airport operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working collaboratively with various departments, including Above Wing, Below Wing, and Airport Coordination Center, to achieve divisional goals and objectives
  • Completing individual tasks and projects, including data collection and analysis, reading and summarizing new regulations, and problem-solving
  • Participating in Incident Analysis reports and Injury Prevention Group sessions, as well as attending station safety meetings
  • Collaborating with external business partners, such as TSA, DOT, aircraft cleaning vendors, fueling vendors, and the Salt Lake City Department of Aviation
  • Engaging in employee recognition events and contributing to the development of a positive and inclusive work environment

Essential Qualifications for Success

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Enrollment in an undergraduate degree program with an aviation management discipline during the duration of the Co-op
  • A competitive GPA and good academic standing with your university
  • A strong aspiration to work in the field of Aviation or Airline Management
  • Demonstrated competency in skills, including data collection and analysis, problem-solving, and communication
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word, Excel, Forms, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to process complicated issues quickly and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
  • A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency, and at least 18 years of age with authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications for a Competitive Edge

While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will give you a competitive edge in this role:

  • Self-starter with the ability to multitask and think innovatively
  • Active engagement with the community and/or student organizations, particularly those focused on aviation
  • Project Management experience or similar academic immersion
