Job Summary

We are seeking highly motivated and production-driven individuals to work as Temporary Remote Catastrophe (CAT) Customer Service Representatives, providing critical support to clients and their customers during times of disaster and recovery. As a CAT CSR, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, technical expertise, and empathy to customers affected by catastrophes. You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless communication, accurate claim processing, and timely resolution of customer issues.

Responsibilities

As a Temporary Remote Catastrophe (CAT) Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing positive customer service and technical expertise through prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to customer needs
  • Offering empathy and support to customers during the claim process
  • Collecting and documenting all claim details provided by the customer into the claim accurately
  • Identifying and resolving customer issues by adhering to clients-specific handling instructions
  • Utilizing call scripting to ensure consistency and efficiency in handling customer claims and inquiries
  • Collaborating with our team to ensure seamless communication and accurate claim processing
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports, as required

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • The ability to type swiftly and accurately (40+ words a minute)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems
  • Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • The ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues
  • Must be customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious)
  • Ability to multi-task, stay focused, and self-manage
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation and drug test as part of the onboarding process

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in customer service, claims processing, or a related field

  • Familiarity with account management systems and call scripting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Note:

This is a temporary, remote position, contingent on catastrophe relief needs. Availability is needed for Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM CST and Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST. New hire classes are starting weekly, and you will be sent available hours weekly to choose from.

  • Not Supported: Chromebooks, macOS, Linux, etc.
  • Network Requirements:

+ Upon hire, must run a Speedtest from the computer the individual will be working from (www.speedtest.net) + Ethernet connection is not required, however strongly recommended + Must be on a private network, not allowed to work in public locations + No VPNs are allowed, as logins must happen in the US
