About the Role:

As a Chatbot Frontend Developer at blithequark, you'll be responsible for creating a visually stunning and user-friendly chatbot widget that will engage our customers and provide them with a seamless experience. Your primary focus will be on designing and developing the frontend of the chatbot, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and develop a custom web-based chatbot widget that can be embedded on our site, similar to Intercom or Drift

• Create a chat window, message bubbles, user input field, send button, and support for basic styling/branding
• Develop a responsive design that works well on desktop and mobile devices
• Implement good UX features such as typing indicator, auto-scroll, and smooth transitions
• Use a modern JavaScript framework (React, Vue, Angular, or similar) or vanilla JS to write clean and efficient code
• Provide brief instructions on how to embed and configure the widget
• Collaborate with our backend team to ensure seamless integration with our existing Flask app via REST API or WebSocket

Essential Qualifications:

* 3+ years of experience in frontend development with a focus on JavaScript and modern frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, or similar)

• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development
• Excellent knowledge of UX principles and design patterns
• Proficiency in using REST API or WebSocket for communication with backend services
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with chatbot development and integration with backend services

• Knowledge of Flask app and REST API or WebSocket
• Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha
• Strong understanding of accessibility guidelines and best practices
