Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive primary and family care, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical issues, health counseling, and behavioral anticipatory guidance to our patients. Perform administrative duties, such as opening/closing the clinic, inventory management, patient flow, insurance verification, and payment collection, to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. Take ownership of patient care, including scheduling appointments, conducting steering assessments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Empower patients to take an active role in their healthcare through services like health screenings, social determinants of health, wellness, and chronic condition management. Request and administer vaccinations and injections (including COVID-19, flu, TB, and Depo) and provide evidence-based patient/parent immunization counseling and education. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need: A graduate degree-level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Practice license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role, or a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies (or related field) with current National Board Certification and State of Practice license to practice in the role. At least two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including mouth-to-mouth and operation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The ability to pass a FIT assessment and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol requires. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
If under 1 year of work experience as a licensed provider, prior student precepting rotation with MinuteClinic is preferred, but not required. Proficiency in additional languages, such as Spanish, is desirable.
