What You'll Do
As a Remote Data Entry Operator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Establishing and maintaining utility accounts with accuracy and efficiency
- Verifying account eligibility and accessibility to ensure seamless operations
- Preparing, distributing, and completing work orders in a timely manner
- Preparing files for mass customer communications, including billing statements and other notices
- Assisting with mailing and scanning documents, as well as retaining electronic copies
- Performing monthly audits of incomplete account transfer requests to ensure data integrity
- Entering data into Key Performance Indicator tracking databases to inform business decisions
- Other related duties as assigned by your supervisor
What You Need
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 2+ years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency
- The ability to pass computer skills, typing, accuracy, and 10-key skills testing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with customer information systems and Public Works software
Bonus Points
While not required, an Associate's degree in business administration, data entry, or related fields is a plus. If you have experience working with customer information systems, Public Works software, or other related tools, we encourage you to highlight this in your application.
