In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our customer information system and other Public Works software. What You'll Do

As a Remote Data Entry Operator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

  • Establishing and maintaining utility accounts with accuracy and efficiency
  • Verifying account eligibility and accessibility to ensure seamless operations
  • Preparing, distributing, and completing work orders in a timely manner
  • Preparing files for mass customer communications, including billing statements and other notices
  • Assisting with mailing and scanning documents, as well as retaining electronic copies
  • Performing monthly audits of incomplete account transfer requests to ensure data integrity
  • Entering data into Key Performance Indicator tracking databases to inform business decisions
  • Other related duties as assigned by your supervisor

What You Need

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 2+ years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency
  • The ability to pass computer skills, typing, accuracy, and 10-key skills testing
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with customer information systems and Public Works software

Bonus Points

While not required, an Associate's degree in business administration, data entry, or related fields is a plus. If you have experience working with customer information systems, Public Works software, or other related tools, we encourage you to highlight this in your application.
