As a Student Loan Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service, answering questions, and resolving issues for our customers.

About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for taking incoming calls, using chat, and making outbound calls as necessary to assist customers with their inquiries. You will provide detailed information, process applications, and resolve emerging problems with accuracy and efficiency. Our ideal candidate is someone who practices active listening, is empathetic, and communicates clearly and professionally with customers. This is an in-center position with the possibility of working from home after 90 days, provided you meet the required standards of attendance, compliance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize standard technology such as a telephone, email, and web browser to interact with customers and access relevant information.
  • Navigate to pre-scripted responses and read them verbatim to provide basic general and claims-specific information to customers.
  • Follow established and documented policies and standard operating procedures, including working within various systems, timekeeping, and documentation of calls.
  • Assist callers with filling out applications and submitting them electronically for processing.
  • Complete basic call logs, documentation, and related call details for each phone inquiry.

Schedule and Work Environment

Your schedule will be as follows:

  • Monday: 11:45am-8:15pm
  • Tuesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
  • Wednesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
  • Thursday: 8:45am-5:15pm
  • Friday: 8:45am-5:15pm

Please note that you may be required to work holidays, and overtime may be necessary.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • The ability to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently.
  • A minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute.
  • Experience working with a personal computer and the Windows operating system.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • The ability to effectively work within established key performance indicators and metrics.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiencies in Excel and Word.
  • Excellent command of the English language and effective use of grammar skills.
  • Great customer service skills, with the ability to personalize calls, be competent and patient, and take the initiative to offer solutions and assistance.
