As an Insurance Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a critical role in managing client communications, nurturing important relationships, and keeping track of policy details and documentation in a secured system. Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients in reporting claims on current policies by gathering all necessary documentation and providing timely updates on the claims process
  • Record and track policy updates or changes on customer accounts, communicating effectively with clients to explain any updates to their coverage
  • Assist with the renewal process, providing competitive quotes and ensuring seamless policy updates
  • Respond to client inquiries on coverage or billing questions, providing clear and concise information on rate fluctuations, policy changes, and other relevant topics
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, current rates, coverages, insurance products, and carriers, regularly communicating with industry partners to ensure our team has the latest information and expertise
  • Review current clients' coverage needs to determine if updates or changes are warranted, making recommendations and implementing changes as necessary
  • Communicate clear and timely responses to coverage or billing inquiries, ensuring client satisfaction and resolving issues promptly
  • Process and document calls, emails, and policy updates, maintaining accurate and detailed records of client interactions

Essential Qualifications

  • Active insurance license in Minnesota or willingness to obtain licensure within 30 days of hire
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex insurance concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Insurance experience as an insurance agent or in a related role is preferred, but not required; we will provide comprehensive training for the right candidate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service or account management, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional client experiences
  • Strong follow-up skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of insurance products, policies, and carriers, with the ability to stay up-to-date on industry developments and trends
  • Experience with insurance software and systems, including policy administration and claims management tools
