Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Verifying and logging receipt of data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Transcribing source data into the required electronic format, using your expertise in data entry software and systems
  • Transferring information from paper formats into computer files using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
  • Performing high-volume data entry using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other computer software
  • Verifying the integrity of data by comparing it to source documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Reviewing data for errors, missing pages, or missing information, and resolving any discrepancies
  • Maintaining a filing system and protecting confidential customer information, adhering to strict confidentiality protocols
  • Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation and prevent loss
  • Responding to requests to retrieve data from the database or electronic filing system, providing timely and accurate responses
  • Using basic office equipment, such as photocopy machines and facsimile machines, to support data entry tasks
  • Maintaining a satisfactory level of quality and productivity per department standards, meeting or exceeding performance expectations
  • Completing additional assigned tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability

Requirements

To be successful as a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will need:

  • Proven data entry work experience, with a strong background in data entry operations or office administration
  • Experience with MS Office and data programs, including spreadsheets and database management
  • Familiarity with administrative duties, including record-keeping and filing
  • Experience using office equipment, such as fax machines and scanners
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy, with the ability to maintain high levels of productivity
  • Strong knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation, with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Confidentiality and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive customer information
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a remote team
