Job Summary

As a Customer Service/Sales Representative at blithequark, you will be the face of our company, responsible for providing fast, friendly service to our customers while driving sales growth and revenue. You will be the go-to expert for customers seeking advice on our products and services, and you will play a critical role in building strong relationships with our customers, colleagues, and vendors. Key Responsibilities

* Provide fast, friendly service to customers, actively seeking out opportunities to assess their needs and provide assistance

  • Learn about products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project
  • Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department, and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring it is clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty, and working safely as not to endanger yourself, co-workers, vendors, or customers
  • Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
  • Participate in sales and customer service initiatives to drive growth and revenue
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales and customer service goals
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, industry trends, and best practices in customer service and sales

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of sales and customer service experience in a retail or customer-facing environment
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move merchandise as needed
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a retail or customer-facing environment, particularly in the building materials, home improvement, or construction industries

  • Knowledge of products and services in the building materials, home improvement, or construction industries
  • Experience with sales and customer service software and systems
  • Certification in sales and customer service, such as the Certified Sales Professional (CSP) or Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) designations
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
