Job Overview

In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providers, and referral sources seeking home healthcare services. You will work in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment, handling approximately 60-65 incoming calls per day. Your primary responsibility will be to collect clinical and demographic information, enter it into our portal, and provide exceptional customer service to all callers. Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate excellent empathy and patience when dealing with difficult callers or complex requests
  • Collect and accurately enter clinical and demographic information into our portal
  • Provide timely and effective responses to customer inquiries, resolving issues and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Comply with all blithequark policies, including HIPAA/PHI, to ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information
  • Strive to meet or exceed individual performance goals in areas such as Call Quality, Attendance, Adherence, and other Contact Center objectives
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and promote a positive, supportive work environment
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a call center environment
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in the healthcare or medical industry, with a strong understanding of medical terminology
  • Ability to navigate dual monitors and multiple applications
  • Intermediate keyboarding abilities, with a minimum of 30 words per minute, and data entry skills while actively listening
  • Basic PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
  • A passing score on the SHL Customer Service Phone Simulation Assessment

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous experience working in a remote call center environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, providers, and colleagues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities

Technical Requirements

To perform this role, you will need:

  • A reliable computer with high-speed internet access (fiber or cable connection required)
  • A quiet, dedicated workspace with minimal distractions
  • A headset and webcam for video conferencing and training sessions
  • Ability to hardwire with an Ethernet cable while working
