Key Responsibilities
As a remote customer service representative, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing courteous and efficient customer support via phone and video support (less than 15%)
- Answering questions regarding tax filing, products, services, and account information
- Assisting customers in troubleshooting issues related to their tax filings or software
- Documenting and tracking customer interactions and issues in our support system
- Meeting performance targets related to customer satisfaction, response time, and first-call resolution
- Maintaining a positive and professional attitude even during high-demand periods
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
- Reliability is the #1 priority: You must be dependable and consistent, especially during high-demand periods leading up to and after Tax Day.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Comfortable working independently in a remote work environment
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
- Ability to stay calm and collected when dealing with customers who may be experiencing stress
- Previous customer service experience is a plus, but not required
- Must be able to commit to working during the tax season peak periods (February through April)
